Doris A  Riani (Gervais)
Doris A. (Gervais) Riani, 84, passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 19, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital.

Doris was born on April 21, 1934, in Worcester and lived in Auburn for 60 years. She graduated from Girls Trade where she took up stitching. She enjoyed many travels with her husband to Las Vegas and other destinations. Doris had a wonderful quick wit, enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, cooking, sewing, and crocheting. She was a long-time member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Auburn. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Doris will be forever loved and missed by her adoring husband of 65 years, Al Riani; a son, Al Riani Jr.; daughters, Darlene Desautels, Elaine Mills and her husband Dennis, Gina Strzelewicz and her husband Mike. She also leaves her grandchildren Todd Desautels, Keith Desautels and his wife Nicole, Alicia Johnson, Cassandra Cecchi and her husband Joe, Casey Thomas and her husband Justin, Toni Strzelewicz, and Connor Strzelewicz; and six great-grandchildren: Kayla, Rowan, Damon, Callie, Madison, and Linden. She also leaves her sisters Ella Fallon and Irene Dupuis. She was predeceased by her brothers, Armond, Robert, Roger and George Gervais, and her sister Rita Murphy.

Calling hours will be Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 4:00 pm –7:00 pm at BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St, Auburn. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10:00 am at Saint Joseph’s Church, 194 Oxford Street N, Auburn. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
