Obituary for Rein Teoste

Rein Teoste, 84, of Shrewsbury and formerly of Mashpee and Sudbury died peacefully with his loving family at his side on Saturday, October 20, 2018 following declining health. He was the husband of Carol J. (Grove) Teoste with whom he shared 61 wonderful years in marriage.

Born and raised in Paide, Estonia, Rein was the son of the late Felix G. and Ksenia (Rand) Teoste. In 1949, Rein moved to the United States and first settled in Indiana. He received his Electrical Engineering Degree in Indiana and went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering in Ohio. After moving to Massachusetts, he also received a Master’s Degree in Business Management. He dedicated 30 plus years to research engineering at MIT Lincoln Laboratory providing engineering concepts for the US Department of Defense including three years of work on Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands.

In his free time, Rein most enjoyed tennis, concerts, theatre, the beauty of nature and had many fond memories of his many adventures of travel around the world. It was certain that his family was always first and foremost and he will be greatly missed by them. He truly loved any time he could spend with them, weather is was taking an opportunity to teach or simply join with them in social and fun activities. Most of all he truly loved time spent with his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Rein is survived by his children, Renee Teoste and her partner Michael Kniveton of Berlin, MA, David Teoste and his spouse Jennifer Adibi of Pittsburg, PA, Lydia Gillespie of Cataumet, MA, Erik Teoste and his partner Cheryl Reilly of Ware, MA, his loving sister Reet Fernandez, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many wonderful nieces, nephews, in laws and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service for Rein which will be held in the Chapel at Southgate, 30 Julio Drive, Shrewsbury on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
