Joseph Francis "Jay"  Incorvati
LEICESTER - Joseph “Jay” Francis Incorvati, 81, passed away early in the morning of Saturday, January 5, 2019. He was a loving father and grandfather and is survived by his children: Renee Haskins and her husband Don of Charlton, Betsy Lindsey and her husband Steve of Framingham, Lynn Canavan and her husband Chuck of Brookfield, his grandchildren: Tonia Haskins, Gabriel Haskins, Stephanie Lindsey, and Robert Canavan; and sisters Anna Caruso of Newton and Joanne Kelley of Goffstown, NH, and many nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Newton, Jay was the son of Oreste and Filomena (Sbordone) Incorvati. Throughout his life, Jay worked in a number of positions including Biological Technician for the U.S. Army Laboratories in Natick, Massachusetts, General Manager for the Holiday Inn throughout the USA including managing a resort in Iran in which he had to escape under disguise during the regime change in Tehran at the end of 1979. The following years he traveled the country securing land leases to which numerous cell towers were built at the beginning of the cell phone revolution.

Jay was an accomplished pianist and vibraphone player. In his younger years he played in several jazz bands. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, and entertaining friends. Jay will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, January 19 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. All are invited to visit with Jay’s family beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will be held in a private ceremony at a later date.
