Condolence: Heraclitus once said: “One man is ten thousand to me if he be the best.”

Duane Berquist was one of those men worth ten thousand. We are all so very grateful for the two decades of his teaching us so selflessly so much priceless wisdom. He used to ask:
Q: What is better than seeking wisdom with your friends?
A: Sharing wisdom with your friends.

Thank you, Dr. Berquist, for sharing wisdom with us.

And thank you, dear God, for choosing to create and to redeem Duane Berquist. Grant him repose in your dwellings of light. And with that same light, enlighten us, O Lord, so that we may be able to adore you according to the abundance of your gifts. Amen.

Condolence: Rosalie and family
We are deeply saddened by Duane’s passing. His life is not easily summarized nor is the impact he had on so many others. He was loved by those close to him and a brigade of extended family. He will be missed from all our collective tables- his intellect, humor and the example he lived every day, being grateful for all life’s blessings.
Lovingly
The Leone Family

Condolence: Professor Berquist was a wonderful teacher. I had him for Logic at Assumption College as a night student. He was patient and kind and would very often stay after class to help me understand the class he just taught. I think of him often.

He will be missed.
