Obituary for George P. Morlock

George P.  Morlock
George P. Morlock, 94, of Northborough, died in his home on Sunday June 23rd surrounded by his loving family and friends.

George was born in Taunton, son of the late Albert and Margaret (Buckley) Morlock. He and his twelve siblings were raised on the family farm ‘Morlock Dairy” in Taunton where they attended public school. He dated and married Margaret T. Miller in Taunton. Following their marriage, George and Margaret started their family living in Taunton for 10 years before moving to Northborough 60 years ago.

He had worked in the Sand and Gravel Industry his entire life before retiring as plant manager for Kane Perkins Concrete in 1992. George was a family man who was honest and humble and loved his family and friends very much. He enjoyed gardening and all types of fishing.

His wife of 61 years, Margaret T. (Miller) Morlock died in 2009. He leaves his sons, Peter J. Morlock and his wife, Ann of Worcester, Robert E. Morlock and his wife Diane of Berlin and John F. Morlock and his companion Jolanta of Worcester; two daughters, Mary F. Ford of Grafton and Margaret A. Morlock of Northborough; a sister, Theresa Smith of Ohio; eight grandchildren, Stephen Ford and his companion Soledad of Worcester, Jennifer Garlick and husband Keith of Grafton, Thomas Ford and his wife Deanna of Worcester, Timothy Ford and his wife Gwen of Worcester, Crystal Morlock and her fiance Kevin of CT, and Payton and Madison Morlock of Worcester, Michael Morlock of Berlin; twelve great grandchildren, Connor, Kylee, Kassie, Kenzie, Hannah and Hailey Garlick, Riley, Tyler, Emma, Liam and Lily Ford and Michaela Morlock; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, George was predeceased by a great granddaughter, Kira Garlick, five brothers, and six sisters.

Relatives and friends may visit with George’s family on Wednesday June 26, 2019 from 4-7 pm in the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main St, Shrewsbury. His funeral will be from the funeral home on Thursday June 27, 2019 with a funeral Mass celebrated at 10 am at St. Rose of Lima Church,244 West Main St., Northborough. Burial will follow in Howard St Cemetery, Northborough.
