They settled in Worcester, where they raised their family, before moving back to Auburn 50 years later. Jim had an extensive career, of over three decades, working at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. as a sales manager. He later retired in 1994, at age 55.

In his free time, he enjoyed New England sports, traveling, spending time with his family and mountain climbing in the Northeast. Jim was also a Worcester Little League and Youth Hockey coach, as well as a Cub Scout Leader for several years in Worcester.

Along with his beloved wife Beverly, Jim leaves his three children, Lori A. Flakes and her husband Elijah, of Amherst, NH, James R. Bylund, Jr and his wife Beth, of Auburn, and Scott M. Bylund, of Brookfield; his grandchildren, Jessica (Bylund) Butler and her husband Christopher, of Worcester, Amanda Bylund and her fiancé Ryan Orsi, of Warwick, RI, Kenzie Bylund, of Oxford, and Calib Goyette, of Oxford; his sister, Joan McDermott, of North Brookfield; along with several nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents, and his brothers, John and Joel Bylund.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation (www.parkinson.org).

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Bylund family between 2:00 and 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Service and burial will be held privately for his family.
