Obituary for Lisa M. Prouty (Brunette)

Lisa M. (Brunette) Prouty, 59, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at UMASS Memorial Hospital.

She leaves her beloved husband of 33 years, Edmund F. “Ed” Prouty, of Auburn; their children, Samantha M. Prouty, of Auburn, and Eric E. Prouty, of Dedham; her siblings, Joseph Brunette and his wife Sandi, of Spencer, Carol Brunette and the late Jim McCue, of Michigan, and Debra Sedar and her husband David, of Dudley; along with several nieces and nephews. Lisa was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Pauline (St. Laurent) Brunette.

Lisa was born in Worcester and raised in Oxford, where she graduated from Oxford High School. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Massachusetts University. She dedicated 25 years of her career working at Millbury Federal Credit Union as the Deposit Operations Officer. Lisa settled in Auburn with Ed, where they raised their children and spent the next 33 years.

In her free time, Lisa was an avid reader and could always be seen with a book in hand. Her family was most important to her - she loved taking care of them and doing anything and everything she could for them.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association (heart.org).

Relatives and friends are invited to gather for Lisa’s graveside service, which will be held at 1pm on Friday, June 11, 2021 in the Pine Grove Section of Hillside Cemetery, 65 Central St., Auburn, MA. The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home is honored to be assisting in arrangements.
