Obituary for Richard C. Goodnow Sr.
Richard C. Goodnow, Sr., 83, longtime Auburn resident, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at his home. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 44 years, Charlene M. (Perron) Goodnow, who passed in 2004.
Born, raised, and educated in Worcester, Richard was one of two sons born to the late Charles and Helen Goodnow. He had previously been employed by Reed & Prince, and Worcester Envelope Company.
He leaves his sons, Richard C. Goodnow, Jr., of Green Cove Springs, FL, Robert J. Goodnow and his wife Mary-Alice, of Shrewsbury, and Gary M. Goodnow, of Auburn; two grandchildren, Amy and John Goodnow; as well as a niece and nephew. Along with his wife and his parents, Richard was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Goodnow.
A private graveside service will be held in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. The BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
